Kevan Schell, also known as Tobacco Brown, recently released a captivating track called "Watergun" that is sure to captivate listeners. Known for his intimate songwriting and impressive guitar skills, Tobacco Brown is a talented artist who continues to release new music and perform in Vancouver.

His music is both witty and wise, always reflecting his unique style. They say authenticity is the only timeless quality, making his songs instant classics. "Watergun" contains heartbreaking lyrics that are worth quoting, such as "there is trouble outside of this box" and "if you never sing along then you never get it wrong." These lyrics, like any great ones, can be interpreted in various ways. Personally, I found the song to be devastatingly real and relatable. It takes a truly talented musician to make you feel less alone in this chaotic world. Just when you're feeling calm, he surprises you with edgy reverb freakouts, perfectly balancing the range of emotions.

Tobacco Brown has a wide collection of impressive music under his belt including the most recent “Four Songs” released exclusively on vinyl earlier this year. It’s refreshing to find somebody like Kevan in the modern sea of music which seems to be increasingly difficult to swim in. He manages to swim deeply however, maybe even without a bathing suit- braving his soul to the world at large.

“Watergun” is worth listening to on repeat amidst this spooky and chilly season that insists you self discover. If you are going to be introspective you may as well have a great soundtrack.
